A deep passion for honey bees runs through our veins. Simply put, we are inspired by the wonders of the tiny, but mighty honey bee —
a gift from creation with all they do.
Aiming to raise honey bee awareness and importance
over the past two decades (27 years+) we have had the opportunity to meet, share, and spread the buzz.
It is our pleasure to "inspire" new backyard hobby beekeepers in the Lynchburg and surrounding areas.
Our personal bee-lief is to bee all you can bee and strive to bee your best self!
Educating all ages about pollination is crucial for the
well-beeing of the future.
Bee-yond the honey bee colony is a lengthy list buzzing with possibilities that we ALL can "thank" a honey bee for.
A huge sense of appreciation for their expert pollinating skills.
They are the experts!
Thank a honey bee for precious golden raw honey, thank a honey bee for bees wax, thank a honey bee for pollen, thank a honey bee for their amazing sticky propolis, thank a honey bee for incredible royal jelly, and thank a honey bee for allowing therapeutic sting therapy.
Have you heard of bee venom therapy?
Apitherapy is used successfully by many who are looking for alternatives to modern medicine.
SO VERY FASCINATING!
Recipes call for honey (please buy from your local beekeeper). Sweeter than sugar, raw honey as a sweetener calls for less. Use in your coffee & tea, desserts, dressings, glazes, and the list goes on...
Utilize raw honey bee-yond the kitchen... have you tried honey as a part of your first aid & wound care treatment? Soothe irritated skin? As a part of your routine skin care? Bee-yond the kitchen and bee-yond your first aid kit - we use raw honey in an organic soap recipe. Yes, we bathe in a soap bar mixture of raw honey, oatmeal and goats milk. A wholesome gentle full body moisturizing method for young and old.
(Stacy's all time favorite soap for over a decade.)
Raw honey is high in plant compounds. 🌻
Have you thought about the flowers, trees, or crops the honey bees or other pollinators have a role in?
I love flowers, pretty weeds, and blooms in general. I find myself in awe when I think about the master plan and connections of nature.
The calming & soothing properties of lavender, therapeutic benefits of rosemary, basil, thyme etc, etc... Just a few examples of the honey bees relation to essential oils. EO's can be added to aid in a lifestyle of wellness.
A variety of plants are pollinated by honey bees that essential oils are sourced from.
A long list of dried flowers and herbs that once were visited by a honey bee are used in lotions, salves and skin care products. Add some of that dried goodness to meals and beverages such as teas, soups, sauces, salads.
Don't let any go to waste - add some extra worth to any dish.
